The Team and Role:

Logitech is looking for an experienced software project manager for the Logi Software Organization with passion for products for personal workspace and Gaming.  You will be a critical part of a team to develop and implement successful software development projects in a fast-paced environment.  
You will be responsible for several software projects dealing with deploying exceptional experience in Logitech’s product line. You will drive the delivery of features and functionality on Logitech’s desktop and mobile applications. 

As part of a team of technical project and program managers, you will work closely not only with Engineering, QA, Embedded Software, Architects, but also with Product Management, and the Design team defining the user experience.  You will be expected to contribute ideas and provide constructive feedback on the ideas of others. You will do this by leveraging your technical expertise and a network of experts in the engineering team.

  • Be the bridge of our Cork site and the rest of the Software organization.
  • Be the Scrum Master in Scrum teams, lead multiple teams to apply the Scrum framework, and guide teams to use best practices in Scrum.
  • Drive, and Coordinate Backlog grooming, Planning, Demo, retrospective, and daily stand-ups.
  • Work with the Product Owners to manage backlog and requests.
  • Resolve issues and remove all obstacles for Scrum teams.
  • Own and Manage Project schedule and deliverables .
  • Apply knowledge in Software Product Life Cycle and different software development methodologies.
  • Actively manage risks, help to have creative mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Report and communicate on a regular basis; escalate when project goals are at risk. This includes regular reporting of project status to key stakeholders, Business Group leaders through management review meetings and Gate meetings as prescribed by internal development processes.
  • Build strong relationship with our key partners and stakeholders such as Design, Product Marketing, Engineering and QA.
  • Support processes and tools that standardize software development activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Identify Process inefficiencies and suggest and implement improvements.

Key Qualifications:

 For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviours to our team:

  • 2+ years of experience in Software Project Management in the consumer electronics industry with demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies.
  • A BS/MS in engineering and/or computer science and prior experience as a software engineer in consumer product development.
  • Certified Scrum Master, and practice Scrum for at least 1 year.
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum principles.
  • Understanding of the connection between Hardware, embedded software and software.
  • Understanding of users' needs and the importance of quality.
  • Excellent knowledge of Software Project Management Standard, Development Cycle.
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across organizations and geographies and interact, influence and negotiate effectively with all levels of management.

In addition, preferable skills and behaviours include:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with system level engineering
  • Experience working closely with firmware and hardware products
